Greatest Movies of All Time!

Heart touching Film - The Lovely Bones

This was one amazing film and I definitely cried. The story line was very heartbreaking and sad, based on a mature subject. The film is based on Alice Sebolds's best selling book "The lovely bones". The film centers on the aftermath of an enormous tragedy: the death of a young girl who dies by getting raped and the parents of that girl are role models because they don"t give up on her daughters murder case and they find a way  to cope with their loss of their daughter. I would recommend this film to any preteen because it's sending a good message to not to talk to strangers even if they bribe you with something that might sound very appealing, But be prepared to cry!

Best Classic Movie (1946) - It's a Wonderful Life

Best classic film ever made! I'm sure teens will love it as an engaging story. It features a witty screenplay and a grand old score. Younger kids may be drawn in by George as a youth. The strong message this film depicts is of being thankful and living life to the fullest. It also conveys an important message about the value of an individual life and how one person's action can affect all those around him. The best part of the film is how George Bailey, by showing what life would had been if he never existed.

It's a Classic for good reason. Watch it if you can.

Great Animation for Little Ones - Epic

This animated movie is very creative and light. In my opinion it's great for kids 7 and up. I found the animation beautiful and the characters appealing. It was very creatively done and visually delightful. There is a central theme of good vs evil, as well as parents vs adolescent  story line that should appeal to kids. Basic aim of epic is to teach young viewers the importance of forest and its flora. The characters also teach kids why they should pay attention to their parents and live up to their potential. The best message includes the maturity it takes to stop thinking of just yourself and doing what's best for your people, and the necessity of the teamwork to overcome various obstacles. So, I give this film two thumbs up and kudos to the creative team.

Movies based on True Stories

The Greatest Movie Ever Made! - The Shawshank Redemption

Great movie! One of my favorites and I could watch it hundred times and it would never get old. The movie compellingly portrays the grainy world of Shawshank prison that is populated with sadistic guards, a corrupt warden, and greedy fellow inmates. but the film also show the inmates forming a loving community of friendship and support despite of harsh conditions. It's an amazing movie of friendship and if you haven't seen this film I'll recommend you to watch it because behind harsh prison life is the wonderful and amazing story of Andy Dufrense.

Inspirational Quotes

An Outstanding Film! - Hotel Rwanda

I rented this film thinking that it would just be another action packed movie with no story line but it turned out to be one of the best  movies i have ever seen! The movie includes a realistic, depiction of genocide and convincingly portrays the sense of horror and insanity. It was kind of scary because innocent people were dying and nobody was doing anything about it but the thing I loved about this film was that how deep the human heart is when it comes to helping others and walking in  love, no matter what the cost.

Sisters and winter magic! - Frozen

Frozen was a good movie overall and I enjoyed watching this film. The most important thing that i noticed  in this film was that how the true love message played out in a different way than usual. The messages include unconditional love between sisters after a long estrangement, being true to yourself, recognizing your gifts and not being afraid of your powers. A very important message is there for everyone that by sticking with each other during tough times you can overcome any obstacle.

Revival of Pakistan Film Industry- BOL

This film is simply outstanding! Shoaib mansoor's film "Bol" beautifully portrayed the picture of oppressed women living in a family headed by a chauvinist and egoistic father of seven daughters and one more but trapped in a boy skin (eunuch). The movie has much more nearly for everyone to relate it to their lives. It has a heart wrenching story which conveys amessage straight to audience minds but putting a strong question and generating a stimulus in them. Great effort by Shoaib mansoor in revival of Pakistan film industry. It's a spectacular work of art and i'll recommend everyone to watch this film. it's time to say be Pakistani and not only buy Pakistani but see Pakistani as well.

One Amazing film! -Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire is really good film with a great concept. the film revolves around issues of class (how could a Slumdog like the lead character possibly do so well on who wants to be a millionaire?) modern-day India is a complex, rich culture of wonderful opportunity and yet horrifying poverty. the film leaves us with a message that through brain, decency and principles, one can achieves in the face of poverty and evil. as well as messages about whatever it may take to make your dreams come true. Inshort, it's an amazing and beautiful film and if you haven't seen it be sure not to miss it!

My All-time favourite Film- Gladiator

One of my favorite films! The acting and story line are both great. This movie made me realize that there are things in life worth fighting for. The way this film is being portrayed is quite impressive and realistic and Russell Crowe is an amazing actor the way he played his character who wants to be with his family but unfortunately his wife and son were killed by royal soldiers and after that he was fighting in arena for his freedom and dies at the end by killing the king...very emotional and moving film that can directly hit your heart!

Russell Crowe..The name says it all..

What would you do if you had just one week to live?- One Week

"When you get those rare moments of clarity, those flashes when the universe makes sense, you try desperately to hold on to them. They are the life boats for the darker times, when the vastness of it all, the incomprehensible nature of life is completely illusive. So the question becomes or should have been all a long...what would you do if you knew you only had one day or one week, or one month to live. What life boat would you grab on to? what secret would you tell? what band would you see? what person would you declare your love to? what wish would you fulfill? what exotic locale would you fly to for coffee? what book would you write?"

A Moving Film with Great Acting- I am Sam

I liked this film mainly because of the way it portrays people who are mentally disabled. This movie shows that  there are many fully functioning people who are mentally disabled. Another message that i took from this film is that sometimes people get wrapped up in their work and lose sight of things that are important to them such as their children or their marriage. It's a good movie about love and and the great lengths people will go to retain it and at the same time it affirms that " It takes a village to raise a child. "

Lucy: Daddy, did God made for you to be like this or was it an accident?
Sam: Ok, what do you mean?
Lucy: I mean you're different.
Sam: But what do you mean?
Lucy: You're not like other daddies.
Sam: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Yeah, I'm sorry.
Lucy: It's ok, daddy. It's ok. Don't be sorry. I'm lucky. Nobody else's daddy ever comes to the park.
Sam: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah, we are lucky. Aren't we lucky? Yeah!

Best film I've ever seen for teenagers in so long! - The way way back

I absolutely loved this film! It's one of the best films I have ever seen. The way way back is a comedy and emotional story of a 14 year old Duncan's (Liam James), summer vacation with his mother, Pam, her overbearing boyfriend Trent and his daughter Steph. Having a rough time fitting in, the introverted Duncan finds an unexpected friend in outgoing Owen, manager of the water wiz water park, through his funny friendship with Owen, Duncan slowly opens up to, and begins to finally find his place in the world. The movie teaches a lesson that sometimes you just want someone who understands you and who makes you feel like you are worth something, Sometimes all you need is a summer away!

Life goes on- Up

The movie is an animated masterpiece! It's heartbreaking at first but the true meaning of this film is that life goes on and adventure is always out there. The thing that makes this movie such a satisfying film is the story of an old man deciding that he still has life left to be lived. And that life is an adventure. The movie teaches us about responsibility, caring for nature and the movie's main theme about " the spirit of adventure."

" That might sound boring, but I think the boring stuff is the stuff I remember the most. "

Great movie with a Great Storyline- Cast Away

I still remember watching this film with my cousins and how curious we were in knowing that how chuck was going to survive and get off the island and we were trying to figure out what we would do and how we would handle this type of a situation. It showcases the beauty of an island and the struggle for survival. Tom hanks is simply brilliant in this movie! the movie never gets boring.

" We live and we die by time. And we must not commit the sin of losing our track on time. "

Inspiring, Life Changing Experience- Eat Pray Love

This was the movie that inspired me to make changes in my life, it shows that simple pleasures and putting yourself first can make such a difference. The movie suggests that when you are living a life that you never wanted or dreamed of, it's time to reboot even if that means a complete repair, take risk, it's worth taking and the movie says to find happiness and your true destiny!
